When I look back on the year 2020, I think of all the things that have gotten lost.  Vacations, trips to see friends, movies and restaurant dining without masks.  Trials for clients unable to post bond and in-person hearings to persuade a judge to grant a motion.  It is now December and this past year has gone by devoid of personal contact and “normal” every day experiences.  It has to make me wonder.  After a vaccine has been developed and distributed, will we ever get back to “normal”?  Or will we be stuck in a new and different norm?  A norm where interpersonal relations have given way to computer and cell phone chatter.  Meetings set up where a car is not necessary, just the convenience of “Zoom”. Progress will be mentioned in this new way of life.  But I am not convinced that 2019 was not a better year…
