Congratulations to our Associate Attorney, Donna Boonchit, who was accepted to serve as a Juvenile Arbitrator for the Sixth Judicial Circuit. The purpose of the program is to divert minor and first-time offenders from formal court proceedings.   Successful arbitrations will result in a lower number of juvenile court cases allowing them to focus on more serious juvenile offenders.  Donna’s duties will include conducting hearings where she will gather information about their situation and work with the juveniles and their families to help them understand the program rules and requirements. We are excited to see Donna’s special skill-set as an empathetic and compassionate advocate being used in this manner.
