Law offices were initially declared essential businesses and therefore, in theory, never had to close. Law practices took the same hit as restaurants. In short, the phone stopped ringing. That reality, in part, was caused by people unable or unwilling to leave their homes, they lost their own jobs and had little money to spend. The courts effectively closed and neither hearings nor trials could be held.
Lately, slowly, things are starting to come around. Like it or not, people need legal services and so the phone has started ringing again. There are three lawyers in my law practice. Getting back to normal is important to all of us. Each of us has an active client base and are willing to take on additional cases. As both health and financial concerns are addressed, we hope that the law firm of deVlaming & Rivellini continues to flourish.
